Today's random.org spin of the wheel led me to a cute little game that I've actually played within the past week--Dan Baden's spicy little number, The Great Chili Cookoff. What was that I used to say? "Join us, won't you?"

Spinning the wheel this week, and....it's Martin Wallace's London. A game I like, but may be of minimal interest to a lot of our crew. Anyway, here goes._________________________________

Here's my plan. Each Thursday, I'm going to generate a random number and compare it against my collection of games and just blab about whatever my opinions or experiences are with that game. The kick in the nuts this week? To start it all off? The randomizer chose "Skip-Bo." So this should be fun, right?

At one time, I enjoyed the luxury of having several different game groups. I had a core of old friends who we would get together once a month and play the very best that Ameritrash had to offer. I had another group that met weekly at work and we'd play tons of what can only be dubbed "lunch games", lighter fare that could squeeze into an hour. And of course I had my wife and family, my wife being a champion that will give most games a try, at least once.

It's not secret my column has been very irregular over the past half of last year. There are a lot of reasons for that; at the start when I could see this was becoming an issue I apologized for it. I'd also hoped I could quickly correct the things holding me back and hop back in the saddle. Though that started off promisingly enough, I was soon enough not pumping out the material regularly.

"Just Come In When You Can, Ken." I had a boss long ago tell me that as I was clocking in five minutes late. I have a feeling he was being sarcastic, but you can never be too sure.
