Never thought I'd see a week of cute animals and creatures here on the site, but here we are. So let's close out the week with this old favorite, push-your-luck game by Reiner Knizia : Pick-Omino (also known as HeckMeck if you have the German version).

A couple of years ago Repoman pulled out a "mini" version of this while we were guzzling beers at the local club. It has become one of my favorites and follows me to parties, bars, and even to work. Easy to lean and fun to play!

Great little dice game and the worm dominos have that satisfying clink and heft to them.

Those little dice are evil though. As soon as you pass up a worm for a couple of 5s, the dice will straight fuck you and give you worms no longer.

I like Pick-Omino a lot (I have the tiny mint-tin edition), but I refuse to play it with more than four players.

LOL. I recommend buying HeckMeck. It's only $14.99 and it comes in a smaller box. Also there is a new expansion for it called Extrawurm.

Small plug - if you buy it from Amazon using the links at the bottom of the article (link to article in the top of this thread) the site gets 4% of the purchase price.

Yah, Pickomino goes for retarded prices per Amazon algorithms because it is technically out of print but get a box with Heckmeck. It's the exact same game. Best $15 you'll ever spend on a game.

Stealing somebody's tile is so satisfying.

I've never played it. I've only seen it played once during a Call of Cthulhu LCG tourney at FFG event center 5 years ago.

I've got the Heckmeck edition. It's great - probably play it at least once a month as it's an excellent filler.
