Hrm. Where do I start?
Guardians is an epic adventure game set in a fantasy world. Each player controls one of four elemental Guardians who are demi-gods trying to restore order amidst chaos. Though expected to act as responsible stewards of their element and humanity, these near-gods have let excessive pride and discontentment eclipse their mission to serve as shining examples of the responsible use of power. The Guardians have let the world fall into disorder - plagues, wildfires, floods, unnatural storms all rage across the kingdom destroying the people who put their trust in them to keep order and balance in the world. The anarchy that they have allowed through arrogance, indifference, and competition has emboldened an evil warlord to join forces with dark magicians and necromancers. He seeks power and control, while the twisted sorcerors want to test their experiements.
You must embark on quests to bring back balance to the elements by regaining your lost elemental strength (in either fire, earth, water, or air). The Guardians are also tasked with protecting the royal family, for without them, there will be no alliance to stand up to the warlord and his minions. So they must strengthen themselves, repair the damage that's been done, and help fight off the evil warlord who's laying siege to the king's castle.
There's kinda some more, but that's the gist.
I'm starting this blog thing for myself to motivate me in the next 11 days to finish a rough prototype. Because on June 13th I'm having JONCON - which is a gaming gathering I've been dreaming of having with my friends. Well, they are coming and I promised they'd have something to test. Too good a chance for willing testers to pass up. Plus it's motivation.
I'll post more soon, but feel free to comment.
