The one man project to make a game of the quality and scale of Fantasy Flight is almost here to ship! After 2 long years of hard work, long hours, and literally thousands of pieces of original artwork, the game's manufacture is completely and has been shipped to me a few days ago for the final step in its assembly. It's slated to arrive, no joke, April 1st.
Posthumous Z is a team based zombie survival game where half the players control a single cliche character attempting to escape an undead infested small town, and the other half direct hordes of themed zombies in an attempt to consume them. The game features 295 cards, each with unique art, enough pieces for a 5 on 5 game, full color rulebook, full color player aids, and more.
For the past month, the game was being manufactured up in Vancouver Canada. Here are some awesome pictures taken before the product was packed up and shipped.
An assembled Box. Yes, there is even a back with its own graphics.
One of the punch cards from the game.
One of the game tiles, plus some zombies and characters in their stands, with a couple of punched out tokens. Downright gorgeous.
I just really love this picture. A punch card with a place tile. All that grey stuff with lines in it? Those are MORE tiles.
The board is made up of 18 such tiles, randomly laid out each game. Combined with that every player's human character or zombie theme is made up of a combination of 3 cards, also chosen at random, every game has a different set up and flavor.
710 lbs of awesomeness (parts for 250 games) is slated to arrive sometime on Friday. Yes, 710 pounds. For those of you not wanting to do the math, there is 3 pounds of stuff in every game.
I am quite excited to see this little baby all grown up big and strong.
So, everyone who preordered a copy can expect that their game will be shipped out by Monday. If you'd like to pick up a copy of the game or learn more about it, please stop by my website at Thisisacow.com.
