Smokin' D&D Body with a Vampiric Hypno-Gaze

This is about as close to 4th Edition D&D as I'm willing to get. I hear the first row gets soaked—is this true? I brought a +1 rain poncho just in case.

UPDATE: I just watched Ravenloft curb-stomp Descent in the alley behind the dumpster. I'd call the cops, but I'd really rather not get involved.

UP-UPDATE: Full of High-Fantasy-meets-Gothic-Horror goodness. Like a vampire sucking on a hobo it's a simple meal with a very strong flavor.

Great setting, boring game

When this was announced, I thought it would be the co-op I had been waiting for... but it's repetitive, has no loot, and the tiles are pretty boring. It's a great box of miniatures for use in Frostgrave, so there is that. My biggest issue is the combat... rolling a single D20 is very boring to me. I realize I said that right after mentioning Frostgrave, but that game gives you far more control.

This was a first step in the adventure system series, and I'd like to see the setting revisited in the future in a deeper game.

A resounding 'meh'.

This was riding the coat tails of the Co-Op revolution.

There are a lot of great components in this game, yet it is merely a gaunlet to run through, lacking any sense of exploration, adventure, excitement.

This is a game for masochists. This is NOT a dungeon crawl.
