God damn it, can’t designers do something about Renaissance trade for a change?

Arkham Horror has at least a couple of zombies in it. Even the original edition from 1987 had two zombies.

“Ameritrash” subject matter and gameplay concepts are even more redundant and soulless now than Eurogames ever were.

I actually miss games about building monuments to impress surly looking authority figures.

Too many game designers lack creativity right now. I agree that certain Ameritrash topics have been exhausted lately, including zombies and the Cthulhu Mythos. I also hate seeing Euro games that lazily apply Ameritrash themes to their favorite euro mechanics. At least we're not getting tons of deck builders anymore.

Here are some under-represented topics that would work well in Ameritrash games:

Superheroes
Cyberpunk
Kung Fu
Cops
Cannibals
Post-Apocalypse (non-zombie)
Robots
Ninjas
Mutants
Gangsters
Car Chases
Ghosts
Ragnorak
Werewolves
Pulp Heroes
Blowing things up!

A post-human setting that isn't just post-apocalyptic mutant survival.
