Once, Etherium was plentiful and the land was peaceful. Now, its presence in the world has dwindled, and elite spellcasters battle to control the last place this primal resource can be harnessed - the Godsforge.

Godsforge features simultaneous play, with each player attacking the player to their left and defending against the player on their right. On a turn, everyone simultaneously rolls four dice, then each player lays one of their four cards face down in front of them. In any order you want, players reveal those cards, paying the cost of them via specific numbers on rolled dice, the sum of rolled dice, veilstones, or a combination of the above. On the dice, 1s can be any number you wish, while an unused 6 can be spent to acquire a veilstone.

Spells provide one-shot effects, while Creations go into play in front of you, with some of them providing one-shot "enter play" abilities in addition to possible attack and defense values and sacrifice abilities. Once all the cards have been resolved, players assess damage comparing their attack value against their target's defense. You then discard any cards you don't want, then refill your hand to four.

Once a player is eliminated, everyone still in the game starts taking damage from them each round in order to hasten the endgame.

Keep your eyes on this one. I've only gotten to play it once, but it showed promise and some genuine innovation for a wizard fight game.

If you put up a positive review of one of our games on your website, or any other material promoting us, be sure to send us the link so we can feature it on our blog! However, we're not able to send complimentary review copies of our products to reviewers.

Makes me wonder if they -do- send copies to paid reviewers.

This looks pretty cool, I might take a look at it. But “top rated at GAMA” doesn’t really mean a whole lot- that’s a retailer/distributor trade show.

I know for a fact that Atlas has supplied copies for unboxings and non-review reasons. Not sure beyond that. This is one of my few planned 2019 pickups though so I'll likely write something about it.

Hi Michael!

For Godsforge, we've provided copies for unpaid unboxings and game previews. We haven't spent any money on that coverage, aside from shipping costs.

We're relying on individual gamers to decide if Godsforge is any good, but making a positive impression with retailers and distributors is how we get it into players' hands. While GAMA is an industry show, we're excited that our game is interesting to people, and can't wait to hear what more people think.

It sounds like you might have found some out-of-date information on our website. We're actually in the process of overhauling the whole thing, so if you could point me to that source, we'll get it revised. Thanks in advance! :)

Found it in the contact form under "review copies and advertising": www.atlas-games.com/contactform.php

I remember finding this a while back because I loved Cursed Court and wanted to reach out. If policy does change I'd be happy to review Atlas' output. It's impressed me quite a bit as of late.
