Outwit the other traders on the Exchange but don't pop the bubble.
Exchange is a light strategy game where players are securities traders, working to amass the highest net worth on Wall Street. To win you must take advantage of market forces, decision making and outwitting the other traders. Don't worry, no knowledge of the stock market is required!
At the start of the game each player is given a broker card determines the number of shares they own of each security as well as how much cash they have on hand.
The Market Value Board tracks the value of three securities throughout the game: Insurance, Banks and Bonds! If a security increases above a value of 90 dollars a share or below 10 dollars a share, the security flips all the way to the other end of the board, shifting its value dramatically.
To win players must strategize and anticipate what other players and the market might do.Be aware of extremely high or low securities prices as the bubble might burst, and all your hard work would be for naught.
The game lasts a total of 5 rounds and each round consists of 3 phases.
- Phase 1: Players decide which security they would like to trade.
- Phase 2: Players decide if they would like to buy or sell their chosen security and how many shares they would like to buy or sell. The number of shares will be kept secret until the end of the round.
- Phase 3: Players influence the market by raising or lowering the value of a single chosen security by +/-1.
