For what this game is, it's a great little "filler game while you drink more then sober up a little" game.
Throw dice, yell "AWWWWWWWWWWW," or "YAY!" then score. You can play competitively, or play like you just don't care. Simplicity in a game simplified. The only drawback to the game is it's a pain in the ass to store.
My variant is throw 20 dice at once then score. You can tell I take the game very seriously. :)
Fast dice death. Just a lot of fun.
I really didn't care for this game. First, there were too many ambiguities with the cards. Secondly, the gameplay seems to be pre-determined to be "building up to a big fight amongst the players." For the game to work "correctly", people are supposed to first work cooperatively, then kill each other. Which brings up another thing...new monsters can be added, so instead of ten monsters you can fight more, etc. Bleah. The game takes way too long, like a glossy, (very good looking) Munchkin.
I liked Red November better. Different theme, but same idea and much better execution.
There is too much down time, and the battles are dull and time consuming. Other than that, the game is OK.
Fast area control game that is easy to learn. Most people in my game group circles have burned out on Nexus Ops, but a great game to have in your collection.
