Well that wasn't very good. Not necessarily bad, just not very good at all. It's a weird mix of great action sequences (second half) with some really lazy screenwriting. That's my biggest beef with the movie, it offers absolutely nothing new and is highly predictable. The first half of the movie is a nice build-up and somewhat intellectually-stimulating, and the second half is some really tight and exciting action sequences. There are just too many shortcuts that were taken in order to link elements together later on. Best performance I've ever seen from...

They say that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Well, can you judge it based on it’s name? If so I’m sure Hell Comes to Frogtown is something worthy of my time. If the insanely dumb title doesn’t sucker you in, then allow me to explain why this is piece of cinematic trash is absolutely worth a watch.

Cookies are for closers. That line from the movie encapsulates perfectly what the experience of watching the film is like. There are some great throwback lines and sequences that will appeal to adults, while still having plenty of fun stuff for kids. My 6-yr old girl really liked it. The first half of the movie is much better than the second half where I think it tries to bite off more than it can chew. The animation is top shelf and I was impressed and admittedly mesmerized by a few action sequences on...

My daughter absolutely loved this and wants to see it again. For me, it felt like a really long 79 minutes but there were some really special moments. It's a nature documentary on five different species of animals living in China's wild. Some of the events filmed are truly remarkable and I could watch a Panda mom helicopter-parent her cub for hours. In watching nature documentaries there is a modern-day tendency to root for the prey, you don't really want to see the carnivores "win." But what happens if one baby antelope would feed a snow...

Well that was a bit of a hot mess. Overall, I would consider it a success in that I was pretty creeped out several times. My heart was racing and all that. It's just important not to think about the movie too much while watching it. One of the problems with putting smart people in space is that they then need to act smart all the time. Having a scary creature in space can be fun since most of the time the protagonists are trying to get away from it and escape. But here, we...

I thought this was pretty good but my six-year old girl didn't like it. Also, am I a total idiot for not knowing this was going to be a musical? How did I not know that going in? People are right that Be Our Guest was outstanding but some of these musical numbers (any of Beast's tunes mostly) really dragged. I thought Emma Watson was very good, but was that really her singing? I loved Gaston and Le Fif Fou. Beast was very good but his behaviour change was a little...

Someone has come along. The tired descriptive of superhero or comic-book movie 'for adults' has been made on many less deserving motion pictures, but it never has rang more true than here. The pacing, the language, the limited but explosive action sequences, the depth... all of it designed for a more appreciative palette. Even though we've seen Hugh Jackman's Wolverine more than enough times to describe him blindly to a sketch artist, I mean it when i say that Hugh Jackman is almost unrecognizable in this performance because it's so different and so tired. I'm...

I was already paranoid in and around hypnosis but seeing this movie isn't going to help. This movie did a bang-up job giving me that overwhelming sense of dread that you can't escape from. It's essential to the better creepy movies cuz you don't want to feel too at ease. I thought the performances were very good and although much of it is predictable, i still felt surprise at the direction much of it went. People keep talking about the social commentary of this film but I didn't find that aspect...

I think the American release of this movie changed the name to "Leap!" but i'm not 100% sure. Anyway, this is a very cute and fun movie about young orphans in France finding and pursuing their dreams. Nothing really new on that front. The animation is beautiful but when it gets to the dancing numbers, it seems obvious they didn't use any motion-capture as the movements are heavily robotic and artificial. That's a problem when the movie is about dancing. When they slow it down, it's very graceful, but at normal speed it doesn't look...

Tons of fun and laughs, and my 6-year old daughter LOVED it (wants to see it again). Not QUITE as good as 2014's Lego Movie but almost. I had a ton of laugh-out-loud moments along with this one other guy in the theatre (we seemed to enjoy the same jokes) and each time my girl asks me, 'what's so funny?". It's one of those movies that's perfect for adults and children alike on very different levels. Lots of really special moments (I can't explain the cinematography of lonely Batman watching lobster heating up in the...
