Five Fingered Severance

I got a review copy of Five Fingered Severance from Minion games last week and played it for the first (and second) time yesterday.

What a game.

Holy crap.

I'll be posting a review sometime this week, but it's seriously SMACK DAB in the center of what embodies Ameritrash. Theme, dice, and fuckery.

Has anyone else played this gem?

It's got a great name so that counts for something. Who doesn't love some good fuckery?

OK. I'm three games in. Here's the short version, long version to be released this weekend on the Circus, and of course, here.

This is on the short list for best games of 2011. Holy shit. It's got every element of a great game aside from the art, which isn't bad at all, and tends to grow on you.

Backstabbery and direct player interaction, in spades.
Randomness in cards and dice but there is direct control of the game, so it's not Quarriors.
Built in timer, but not an abstract timer, a real timer to keep games ~ 1 hour.
Theme is brilliant, completely integral, and the game's mechanics make a ton of sense when viewed through the lens of the theme.

ONLY DRAWBACKS:
Some looking up of certain customers' powers, like the ADHD kid and the Foreigner. Favorite is the ANGRY SOB customer who, if you insult him, will cockpunch you and you lose your next turn.

Anyone NOT getting this...total fail.
