Which Fantasy Flight games did you order recently?

Anybody know the latest on Cosmic Encounter?

I saw November 08 somewhere online, but when I went over to the FF site, it's not mentioned at all on the Upcoming Games page.

I've always been curious about the game, and it looks fun. Just like to know when something is coming out before preordering.

Cosmic is a great game, one of my all-time favorites. The only problem is that depending on the edition and which expansions you use, it can be too minimal or too bloated with junk. I always have fun with it regardless, but I'm confident that Kevin Wilson will find that happy medium and we'll be treated to the best edition evar!

Amazon lists a publication(I think?) date of September 13, 2008. Don't know what that means as far as when we can get our hands on it. They also classify it as a hardcover book, so take that for what it's worth...

I'm going to buy Descent and probably Starcraft before the prices go up.

I generally don't order. I support my FLGS, of which there are two. So soon I hope to be purchasing Age of Conan, Talisman and Road to Legend. Still on the fence about Arkham Horror.

Amazon and Overstock are listing that September date and the pre-price hike MSRP; I think Thoughthammer has it listed with a $10 higher MSRP and a November release. I'm thinking Amazon and O'stock are going to cancel preorders taken at the lower pricepoint when that September date comes and goes without a game on the shelves [Amazon did that to me on the Descent: Altar of Despair reprint that they had listed at a ridiculously low price [~$18] I think--it slipped past the listed restock date and they subsequently plonked my order just before an updated reprint date was announced.

I love the hot deals section that was added to F:AT. Thats really the only thing I check on the geek and I can't remeber the last time I saw a really really good deal (though I have scored some stuff ridiculously cheap). I've preordered the Descent expansion an will probabl be doing more shopping via this site.

I don't really pre-order stuff. I usually just wait for it to come out. The last FFG I got was StarCraft, but that was last December (Christmas). I'll be getting the Talisman upgrade pack and Reaper expansion when they come out, though.

If you pre-order something off of Amazon, do they charge you when you place the order, or when the item gets into stock? From reading on Amazon, I couldn't tell. Thanks!
