Dorn - a fantasy strategic role-playing game was created by Notahandle
Figured this might be more AT than Euro and you lot might like a heads up.
(Cover) (Board) (Play)
Dorn is a fantasy strategic role-playing game. One of the players is the Dorn Keeper, who each turn spawns various new monsters. Five heroes need to battle the monsters, collect three sacred artifacts and finally defeat the Dorn Keeper.
You can read the rest of the T.O.S. text yourselves.

Z-man isn't going to be importing it, but I bet Funagain will have copies in a month or so.
I've got one on the way. Will make Barnes play it.

This looks really cool!
I was thinking about fishing for a decent copy of Dungeon, but I might hold off for this.
I have two initial concerns, though.
1) Looks like it's been out for some time. Not much being said about it though. I'm not sure how to read that.
2) Until I can read the rules/reviews I wonder how flexible that static board will be for re-playability.

Nice cover art, and I kind of like the quirky map. But it sounds like a euro version of a dungeon crawl, and I already have Dungeon Twister. Pass.

It's due out at Essen. I checked the shop link for more info and it's not there yet. There'll probably be new T.O.S. data next week after the post-Essen frothing...

I'm sure that will be about as hard as getting BA Barracas on a plane. You know how I am about games with swords and treasure chests.

I've been intrigued by Dorn ever since I started looking into Prophecy.
The board certainly looks unique, I wonder how it plays.

Last year when Zev was considering publishing Dorn, he brought a copy to Trash Fest. I didn't get a chance to play myself, but the reaction of those that did seemed underwhelming. I only remember one person being jazzed about it. Maybe someone on F:AT who attended Trash Fest might remember playing and give us their impressions.

The game looks incredible, but the notion of diceless combat has little appeal to me. I'll wait and watch. That game board is just spectacular.

After watching the youtube videos. I think the wooden blocks for the characters may be a bit too big. They're larger than the board hexes.
I'll be keeping my eye closely on this one...
