The games that I have enjoyed the most in the past year are probably:

Zimby Mojo
Pax Pamir (in part because of the theme)
Manoeuvre

The games I want to play, that are sitting on the shelf, and recently acquired are:
Robinson Crusoe (Who is nuts about it on here that persuaded me? Gary Sax?)
Ars Victor
Tales of the Arabian Knights

My daughter recently informed me that she is going to play Seven Wonders at her friend's house. She says that the gaming at our house has too many arguments and uptightness. Sigh.

I am all about moving things on the table. I just love moving figures over chits or tokens. Maybe it comes from watching countless military movies as a child. So give me figures and fistful of dice.

I may not win the war, but I will have fun making it happen.

This is probably too narrow to even be a sub-genre, but I find myself really drawn to big thematic pick-up-and-deliver games. My love for Merchant of Venus is well-documented, as is my enjoyment of Merchants & Marauders. I recently played Firefly for the first time and I liked that a lot too. I am almost afraid to play Xia, because I'd probably be all over that as well.

I'm not sure which game it is, but isn't there a new Mad Max style pick-up-and-deliver that just shipped to backers? I can't remember what it was called because it felt like after Fury Road a lot of Mad Max-type settings popped up in games at once.

Saltlands, I think. There's Wasteland Express Delivery Service also. Not sure that's out yet.
