I'm taking one for the team.

I just pre-ordered the new game from the twisted minds behind Psycho Raiders and Freakface!!!

store.cave-evil.com/products/halloween-n...ec&mc_eid=14d5a2b545

IDK. I enjoyed Psycho Raiders. Good, but not great. I did not enjoy enjoy Freakface!!!

$36 seems awfully pricey for what I expect to receive. We'll see. I'll report back.

It's already October, and they haven't revealed the theme yet. I correctly predicted the theme last time around, as the style of their art seemed well suited to circus freaks. This year... I dunno. Probably something inspired by one of the all-time great horror movies, or something by Rob Zombie. Like maybe biker gang vs zombies.

It's hard to pin down. I felt it was all over the place. I'll see if I can think up a detailed criticism. To do so, I'll need to break it out again. I have forgotten much since I played it last year.

And I guess in it's own way, that's telling.

Personally, I do not like handing over money with no information as to what that money is buying.

I understand. I'm questioning my sanity, and this business model. I'll be a good TWBG foot solider, and report my findings immediately upon receipt. Meanwhile, everyone else can save their wooden nickels. Or spend it on hamburgers. Whatever.

I enjoy this series but half of my group hates these games for the simulation quality. My only complaint with the series is that the maps are way too dark. It's very difficult to see walls in Freakface.

This year it’s a witch sacrifice thing. That’s what I was told.

My heart says to buy it but my brain and wallet tell me this isn’t going to happen. I still have a sealed FreakFace I’ve never played nor will I likely ever.

OMG, yes. The maps are way WAY too dark. And while I'm at it, the cards are impossible to sleeve. If I'm expected to pay $30 + for some questionable paper quality, I would like to protect some of the components.

Because clearly, I do not play these titles sober.

I sleeved all the cards for Psycho Raiders. Fortunately, I live near a large, well-stocked comic/game shop that carries a very wide range of card sleeve sides.

Is it possible that I could lighten my Psycho Raiders map by prolonged exposure to sunlight? Or would fading it a little not really help with being able to read the map?

I doubt fading would help. Psycho Raiders isn't as bad as Freakface honestly. Freakface features a ton of walls defining the huge circus tent and it's a lot more confined.

I love Emperors of Eternal Evil but everything they print is too dark. :( My Cave Evil set is really bad. I know it's supposed to be part of the charm but I've seen videos of the first printing and they look like they don't strain the eyeballs as much. (I have the second printing.)

My friend, who is quite enamored with my copy of Psycho Raiders, asked if he should buy Freakface.

Is Freakface a fun / good game? How about Sea Evil?
