Level 7 [Omega Protocol] 2nd Edition launch on Kickstarter

So Privateer Press is going to reprint Omega Protocol, and they're launching it on Kickstarter today because they want to gauge what the demand is for the game. I've never played it, but apparently it's the best of the Level 7 trilogy, and it's been OOP for a couple of years now. Just thought to post the news to get reactions, opinions on the 1st edition of Omega Protocol, and try to decide if I want to back this or not.

I have heard that the game is good. I think it was probably the inspiration for the Overlord system that Conan uses.

The tiles look....bland.

Mechanically, I think this would make the best version of aliens/space hulk ever.

Thematically, it's boring as all hell.

It's a good design strapped down by a poor I.P.

This game screams for a competent retheme, making the Kickstarter pointless (for me).

It's better than space hulk. Recommended.
