The Kickstarter deluge is relentless and we're all going to be buried in plastic anyway. At least these have nice boxes.

Hoping Necromancer gets unlocked. I've never played it. Might actually spring for that.

Who is this for? These are all available now in "better" versions. I love Illuminati more than it deserves, and I originally played the clamshell version but the current version is simply better. What is the point of this?

Clamshell case fetishists? Dude I don't fucking know. Every publisher has to have a KS live right now I guess.

It's all about nostalgia.

Totally this. You could make a better version of most of these with modern printers at about 1/10 the cost, if you wanted to. This is just fetishism and another way to demonstrate "nerd coolness."

"I have the OGRE version in the original clamshell box!'
"That's not an original. I have the one that was first printed in The Space Gamer!"

I think this speaks more to the diminishing sales of Munchkin more than anything else. Now that train has slowed, they're looking at their back catalogue to see what else they can wring dry. Whatever happened to the new edition of Car Wars?

Has it slowed, though? There's a Munchkin game that's raised nearly a quarter million dollars on KS right now.

www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/munchkin-dungeon

The Munchkin CCG flopped so hard it left a crater (despite not being bad), but I think that was more because of the distribution model than the property. People still seem to very much enjoy The Munchkin Cardboardmatic Universe, even though I have no idea what that actually entails.

In 10 years when Asmodee consumes Steve Jackson Games the Munchkin CCG will probably be reborn as a well-regarded LCG.

I wish he would bring back INWO with Print on Demand -- I need to finish out the Assassins set.

On one hand, I'm glad these games are available.

On the other, this are, for all intent and purporses, worse versions of those games. You can get the 20€ Ogre, the newer editions of Car Wars and so on. I'm bummed :/

I guess I'm the outlier here (again). I've wanted a copy of "Undead" forever. If the "stretch goal" is met, I can get a copy.

However, I'm managing my expectations. I don't expect; October 2019 delivery, excellent game play, or nerd cred.

This is just a long time curiosity for my Dracula fetish. An itch I need to scratch.

I mean you're not alone. I did open by saying that I want to be a skeleton commander. I'm weak for skellies.

I have a dusty copy of Undead in my collection that I could sell you. It was a good game back in the day, but you need at least three players to play, and one player effectively serves as a gamemaster/referee. It's a double-blind game, so both sides are using hidden movement while the third player is keeping track of which character is where. Overall, the game is a nice simulation of the section of the Dracula novel where they are trying to track him down in London.

Not sure if this is SJ cashing in on nostalgia or SJ trying to find ways to keep selling cheap junk for more than it is worth to keep the company afloat. Probably both.

What has SJG done lately that was new?
