Hey all -

Bored? Need a free game? I have a pinball game coming out this fall with WizKids, and they came up with the great idea to freely release a special version of one of the tables that is printable and playable. You just need to print out one sheet per player, have two markers per player, and two dice.

Download is here:

wizkids.com/posters/repository/wizkids/S...Carniball---FREE.pdf

A condensed version of the rules is included, but I also made an instructional video:

It's great for solo or large groups.

If you enjoy it, we are finalizing the other three tables (full release will have four copies of four different tables, laminated with dry erase markers), and I may soon be looking for a few people to do blind playtesting, videoing their plays. If you're interested in being considered please let me know.

Enjoy!

They made me come into work today, so it seemed like a perfect opportunity to run off a laminated copy. Looking forward to trying it.

Lords of Kobol help me !

That is an incredible simulation game, awesome job, well done, I will be wasting ink and laminating sheet.

All done and a game under the belt. Excellent, plays really well, I got the multi-ball on the first ball and then used all my nudges during that so got a good boost, but still no where near (130) Mr Look's Hi-Score.
Even after laminating I decided to use different coloured cubes instead of a marker pen, plus a d6 for the nudge/tilt value, it looked good and saved rubbing out ink.

A shame that it will probably be at a much higher price in Europe/UK than in the US, I see it being at a really friendly price for a light game in the US but shipping and customs will push it into a different price bracket here.

Decent chance a European publisher will pick it up. Unfortunately everyone's a bit gunshy right now to sign anything.

Just finished a game with 200M points. Getting multiball going with the bumper bonus on a set of freshly cleared bumpers is sooo much fun!

Nice work, Geoff. Looking forward to the rest when it's released.

I'm really enjoying this one a lot! My best is 156, but I had several games with rules mistakes:
  • I thought that if you couldn't cross off a number in your zone, you lost the ball (I missed that you could move down a zone). That quickly made the Ferris Wheel section brutal!
  • I missed that you could choose which bonus you activated when you cleared the drop targets. That made getting to Multiball quite a challenge!
Both of these rules were explained clearly in the video, but I somehow glossed over them when I read the rules.

Anyway, I love the game. Thanks for giving us a taste! You have definitely earned a sale when it gets released.
