Mr Konieczka has a new company for his passion and a new game coming out, although my brain may struggle with the puzzles

Good luck to him, he was one of their best designers, despite my personal eh feelings about games with puzzle elements.

Looking forward to this. I'm one of the few people who enjoyed his last game, Discover Lands Unknown.

The game looks interesting. As for Coreys.... I'm torn between Feldman and Haim.

I like that house map. I'm potentially interested. The puzzles in Mansions of Madness didn't work for our group. 75% found the puzzles too easy, and 25% found the puzzles impossible.

My favorite Corey is Sir Corey of Cabra.

He will be Legend to me just for Battlestar Galactica, but below isn't a bad legacy from FFG (I understate, it is frakkin amazing):
2006 Warrior Knights (with Derek Carver, Pierre Cléquin, Bruno Faidutti)
2007 StarCraft: The Board Game (with Christian T. Petersen)
2007 Tide of Iron (with John Goodenough, Christian T. Petersen)
2008 Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
2008 World of Warcraft: The Adventure Game (with Daniel Clark (I), Michael Hurley, Jeff Tidball)
2009 Middle-Earth Quest (with Christian T. Petersen, Tim Uren)
2010 Runewars
2010 Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game
2011 Rune Age
2011 Mansions of Madness
2011 Gears of War: The Board Game
2012 Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) (with Daniel Clark (I), Adam Sadler, Kevin Wilson)
2013 Eldritch Horror (with Nikki Valens)
2014 Star Wars: Imperial Assault (with Justin Kemppainen, Jonathan Ying)
2015 Forbidden Stars (with Samuel Bailey, James Kniffen)
2016 Star Wars: Rebellion
2016 Star Wars: Destiny (with Lukas Litzsinger)
2017 Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition (with Christian T. Petersen and Dane Beltrami)
2018 Discover: Lands Unknown
2019 Star Wars: Outer Rim (with Tony Fanchi)

EDIT: Added in missing Mansions of Madness, Middle-Earth Quest, & World of Warcraft: The Adventure Game due to BGG's preferential list I got this from.

Some incredible games on that list. My favorite probably Gears of War.

Gears of War is super impressive both becasue of the enemy AI which has in some ways never been done better, but also because of the streamlined map. Moving in areas rather than spaces makes for a much cleaner and leaner experience. But it should have had more (short) missions in the box.

Rune Age is also a very underrated gem. It's a rock solid deck builder with a ton of variety in the box. The player vs. player scenario is neat, but it also comes with a great coop variant and a more euro-style variant which I have yet to try.

complete tangent, who is left at FFG? Is everyone from their 'classic' era now gone or freelance?

I regret not getting a chance to get Gears of War for a reasonable price. Maybe they will re-theme and re-release. Or just do a second edition for some future Gears game.

Everything I’ve read sounds like the place has been gutted.

Corey K. is definitely a legend. Between BSG, Death Angel, Outer Rim...that's some kind of record of interpreting licensed properties. I'm definitely interested in whatever he is working on.

That list was pulled from his BGG profile and I've just noticed it says 'Notable Games' because it doesn't include another one of my favourites that he was involved in - Middle Earth Quest. The way the character cards are used for Health, Movement , and Combat is so clever and just works so well in that game.

MEQ is on the list, 6th from the top.

I got the most play out of BSG, so many great moments. But I think my favorite design, although admittedly flawed, was Runewars. I loved the season orders and how recruiting worked. I could have done without the heroes and the weird deck instead of chucking some dice, but the logistical part of the campaign made me feel like I was weighing options, hunkering down for winter, gearing up for aggression in the summer, etc.
