Yes, Blackstone Fortress and Cursed City use a mixture of dice types, while Silver Tower and Hammerhal just use six-siders. And that doesn't really matter in terms of compatibility. The attacker can roll his dice (whatever they are) for the attack, and then apply the successes. The defender can roll his dice (whatever they are) for defense, and then apply the successes. Generally only the heroes get to roll defense dice anyway. The successes scale the same way in either dice system. I like the initiative card system from Blackstone Fortress and Cursed City enough that I have used it a couple of times in Silver Tower to good effect. Just swipe some cards from a deck of playing cards and assign one specific card to each hero or opponent type, like the Ogroid Thaumaturge can be the King of Clubs while the Knight Questor can be the Jack of Diamonds.
Ugh. I have Silver Tower with foam storage, Hammerhal on sprue, the Chaos Adversaries, and Blackstone Fortress with a bunch of 3d printed terrain. Someone make me an offer. I don't have the time, energy, money, or desire to support Games Workshop anymore.
