You probably want something called Super Sculpy.

Super Sculpey is probably a bad idea since you have to bake it and I am guessing the moulds don't do well with heat.

Aves ApoxieSculpt might be a better bet since it is self-hardening and water 'soluble'.

My thought was he molds it and then removes it from the mold to bake the sculpy.

Unless they demould easier than the comments about needing to pick stuff outta the corners lead me to believe, you'd likely be better off with a casting compound you can mash in there and leave it, then demould it when it has set.

Another bonus to ApoxieSculpt is that it comes in multiple colors that can be mixed.

So had a nice evening playing with my 5 year old. We used some really cheap doh we got at some party and while it didn't bring out all the detail of the molds, it did come out easily from all 11 molds so we got to play around with everything. She really liked smashing stuff and playing with the terrain. By the end we had lots of multi-colored blobs, pretty typical end of life for doh in my house.

I did try some shapely sculpt stuff but it is too dense to really take the mold. You could probably mold each half and then glue them together.
