Zenobia Awards Winners have been announced was created by jur
The three winners of the Zenobia awards have just been announced by Volko Ruhnke and Harold Buchanan. And I've got to say, three choices that I will buy blindfolded once they get published, based on subject and the new approaches in gameplay.
Here's the announcement video, detailing the strengths of each game:
See the winners here:

(Very interested also in the other 5 finalistsother 5 finalists )

On the games themselves, I am particularly intrigued and excited for the conceptual breakthrough of a non-market based economic game. Incredible idea. Basically, how about a euro without the fundamental assumption of market transactions to develop.

Oh awesome. Winter Rabbit and the Machu Pichu game were the most intriguing- and different sounding, in terms of argument/perspective - of the bunch, glad to see the jury learning that way.

Love this, but they really needed a host with some broadcasting experience.

The first of the finalist (ie not one of the 3 winners though) is going to kickstarter.
Dutch Resistance: Orange Shall Overcome!
A co-operative scenario based pick-up-and-deliver game for 1-5 players about resistance during the Second World War in the Netherlands.
Perhaps the most conventional of the themes among the final games (although resonating with me as a Dutchman), so I think the Zenobia jury was more taken with the mechanics
