Mythic finally give up on two projects

They got sued for not properly paying the designer of Time of Legends.
I read a while back that Leo’s former business partner lost a license for taking money and not delivering.
I don’t think they have ever been so concerned with delivering as much as collecting and spending.
Time of Legends is a giant steaming turd of a game. Mythic should sue the designer.

Mythic sold Solomon Kane and four other IPs in Dec 2022 (along with laying off about 60% of their staff) to stay solvent so they could finish their active KS projects. It got them through Darkest Dungeon and 6 Seige (along with a lot of extra cash from backers) but not enough to finish HEL and Anastyr without asking for a massive contribution from backers - although if CMON go and 'redevelop' the game down to a starter kit then backers would probably have been better off paying the massive contribution.n815e wrote: Mythic have always mismanaged money and then subsequently sold IP to try to stay afloat. Have to say I received emails about the KS mentioned and I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for any notifications on it.n815e wrote: That thread is getting more interesting, with possibilities that Leo and Benoit have been selling customers’ personal information to other companies.

What would that even look like? Would you have some sort of retail outlet that would order the games in advance?

That only took 13 years.
