Who is going to pay my fare to Italy so I can give a session report here?

Wow. So that's what a $100 boardgame looks like. I'm just guessing, but I can't it retailing for less than that.

I don't think it retails at all. The pieces look like they're an amalgamation from other games and from toys. It does look interesting though.

That's correct. It's a homebrew. He's submitting it to FFG and someone else.. Let's all just pray that we see this one become a game that we can buy.

Regardless, I still want one of you to pony up the cash so I can fly over there and play it. :)

That italian game looks nice though. Lots of cards and minis. It must be a winner.

Although a name change is in order, I don't think Europa Universalis much cares for the rip-off. It does look like a weaned down version of EU, a game I've wanted to try.

Either way, I'm interested.

Interesting...

From what I can tell, the time period of MedioEvo Universalis is 100-200 years earlier than the start of EU and accomodates up to 10 players. Perhaps I'll try to ask the author some questions and find out more about the rules and inspiration behind the game.

I thought Fantasy Flight didn't accept submissions? There was a thread on this awhile ago...

Well they don't accept submissives. ;) If you are aggressive they'll accept your submission. ;)

I noticed this homebrew a while ago and am still hoping it'll be available one day. The problem with the FFG route is that they'll probably break it up into many expansions. I'd love to see it all in one huge box, just for the joy of overwhelming everyone with the vast number of components. That would certainly make it more than $100, but I suspect cheaper overall then multiple expansions.
