Got My Holy Grail

I was lucky to get my copy off eBay US about 4 yrs back when it wasn't so much in demand ... just never get much chance to play it.
But I did get probably my last Holy Grail last week .......... Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit, for the princely sum of about $50. AND was I struck dumb when I opened it and started pulling all the bits out - 30mm plastic droids and Gungans in their dozens and decent detail, good quality cards, two decent size battle boards plus the three level palace, and those dice - they are freakin solid - sheeeeeeeit, I thought I had Ameritrash gold when I got my 2nd Grail last year, Fortress America, and saw those bits ..... but these are just unbeatable.

NOW TO TRY AND PLAY ALL THE BUGGERS.

Good score on Queens Gambit, Southernman. I got a new in shrink copy not too long ago for $70. The guy I bought it from bought 7 new copies cheap from a guy in China. He sells them at my area's monthly marathon. Haven't played it yet.

They don't go for quite as much (as often) on eBay UK - in fact two copies came up at the same time a couple of weeks ago and my mate, who I had only told about the game that weekend, msged both the sellers asking for a Buy-It-Now price .... one did it straight away and he got it (unplayed) for £35 all up, while the 2nd one did it a day or two later and I picked that one up (mint cond.) for £28. A third one went for about £40 a few days later but haven't seen any others since.
And I am looking forward to playing it - I do a lot of Memoir'44 with a wargaming mate so will try it out on him since the mechanics are much the same.

I call shenanigans too!! After much muttered cursing for missing those I've set up a search...
Amusingly, all that turned up earlier were some Vampirella comics!

I need to try Dune game. We have one here at the office... I loved the first three books, got stuck on 4, and refuse to accept children banking on parents names as legit.

My copy of TI3 is a warehouse damaged one, which got the wrong end of a pallet jack. I could do a cute 'cat peeking out of gaping ripped hole in box'. Too bad I don't have any access to kittens...

I could, if sufficiently modivated, do some nice photos of cats surrounded by legions of game parts. But that smacks of effort, and my camera just bit the dust.

The reason why I can't watch porn, wife doesn't mind, but the 4 1/2 year old Gamer In Training would have some colorful things to say to Grandma if I watched it in his presence.

He also has "Snugglebunny Radar" added to his perk list. Every time I even think about smoochin' or snugglin' the wife, he comes in three seconds later, "What Doin', Mom? Dad?"

If I had kids I might not watch porn at all either.


As far as that cat pic, I'm allergic to cats, but only to cats on gaming forums. Years ago on rpg.net when I first regged there (I don't look at that site any more)a guy sent me a pm with a few pictures of his cats to welcome me to that website. I have never recovered from that.

What if I took a pictue of cats in a Dune box? Or cats in a stillsuit in a Dune box?

Cat hair would decrease the collectibility. And you'd have to turn the cats eyes blue.
