I doubt he's lying about the sales, there's almost nothing to gain from it...

There was nothing to be gained about telling us that he had 5000 pre-orders either, but he did it. He's been running a "sensationalism" campaign since he started.

The day his website went live, he announced he was taking pre-orders and the ticker was at >5000 pre-orders. However the pre-order form was broke, people complained on his forum, the next day he said that he got it working. In the next month and a half the pre-orders counter went from 5000 to ~5100. (And yes, I watched it).

I don't believe he sold 10K games.

If this is the game I am thinking of, I've played it, and it could have been fun except for one player at the table.

They took EVERYTHING seriously. It was as if I had killed their childhood pet, set fire to their place of worship, and dis'd their taste in adult beverages, all in one. The whole game was spent with the person over the top trying to get even. Even refusing to give money out as the bank. (said person was not the bank, their spouse was).

I will never, ever play games with said individual again. I'm actually prone to leaving the room when they enter.

All I did was place a terrorist!

...so I can't be sure if it was a fun game or not, because it was ruined. Oh. And the Balaklava did not fit - they did not use expandable hemming on it, so we just used our own. Smart Minnesotans own one...

Jeez... my head is too big for standard hat sizes, and it fits me just fine.

Ours may have been some sort of super early version, as it was a trade during the first push...

My favorite story is where the designers were bitching about free speech because Tony Blair refused to come out of downing street and play the game with them.

Personally, I liked the part in the press release about "War on Terror Societies" springing up. I'm sure all of us here know of at least a couple of these Societies.
