Let's talk Titan

I don't read online strategies or reports or anything like that, but I do like to chat about strategy when I play face to face. So, playing Titan on ACTS I'd like to talk about it a bit here.
Has anyone found a preferred initial split? I've got one I settle on. Usually two gargoyles and an ogre in one and two centaurs and an ogre in the other. I forgo Trolls early on, but I feel gargoyles and centaurs in pairs are a nasty threat in the early game.
How about gorgons? They'll neuter development, but what's the take of F:ATties? I love 'em.

I almost always split $LORD Ogr Ogr Gar and $LORD Cen Cen Gar, if only to make early mustering easier. There's a lot of Jungle and Brushes out there--I want to make sure I can muster on them with either stack.
I like Gorgons just fine, they are a nice mid-game kill stack. But I do try to have at least one stack head towards Cyc Cyc Cyc --> Beh, because eventually Gors just get erased by the tougher stuff if not native. I will make a kill stack of Rans every time though--those guys are solid gold.
I find myself getting Tros because I love taking them to the center for early Wbes. Only Tros and Lios can muster on three terrains.

My initial split is more situational depending on the tower I start in. Gar gar in one stack and then I double Cen or Ogre depending on the outer ring spot with a one roll or a three roll to the inner ring.
Nothing wrong with a gorgon stack, especially if I can get three into a tower for a snake wanna be; flying purple tomatoe.
The thing I like about Jeb's split is that it makes going for trip cents or ogres easier.

Having just finished a game where i was stuck in the gargoyle tree, i would recommend not over investing in it. It is relatively easy to muster regularly, and gorgons and Cyclops are comparatively good early on, the Behmoth and the Serpent are some what lacking as late game creatures. Dair managed to smash through almost 3 legions of Behemoths, serpents and Gorgons with naught but a couple of giants, angels, and his bad ass titan.

Alright, I think I've got the game set up right. look for 'F:ATties & Titans'. If you aren't in or have a question, give me a holla.
Now, lets see what these ogr/ogr/gar and cen/cen/gar splits can do...

Can a stack do a Titan teleport on the first turn of the game if they roll a 6? I wouldn't think so, but can't find the rule saying otherwise.

The Titan or angel can teleport to any space six spaces away from the tower or go to another tower. Titan teleport refers to a +10-4 Titan teleporting onto an enemy stack, which you can't do on turn 1.

Right, referring to a lord doing a Tower Teleport on a 6. Can play 1, on the first turn, roll a 6 and Tower Teleport his Titan to another tower to muster a warlock, or even dicier, teleport to player 2 Tower causing an engagement before Player 2 has even done a split or moved?
