Great Jeff. Read the rules and either post here or message me. If others are ready we'll do a multi-player, if not, 2p games are good for learning.

I'd be interested in playing if you need another player.

I played back in college but left my copy of the game to the gaming group. I did pick up the reprint when it came out but haven't had a table session yet. Most of my plays lately have been AI rounds on Colossus.

What's the plan on starting a Titan ACTS game? I'm down for starting anytime after Wednesday.

Also, how good are the 'quick' play variants in the rulebook? Is the game just as fun playing to a certain time limit or starting with a few stronger creatures?

I'd also be interested in trying my hand at an ACTS game, but I have no idea how to do it. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Any Titan newbies wanting some extra practice should check out Colossus , a free open-source Java implementation of the AH version. It supports AI and network play and is way cheaper than an iPad...

My copy of Titan has arrived, i have studied it's law. My home PC burnt its chip out earlier in the month, so i can only commune on the office PC. Im happy to play a PBEM game aslong as it doesnt require me to install 3rd party software (will have to wait until if get a new rig for colossus). Im happy to both a smaller learning game, and a FAT brawl aslong as it doesnt take up more than about 20mins of my day in updating my orders via email or ACTs system etc.

Seconded. I know seasoned players look upon the AI with disdain, but it's free and is a good way to get used to how the movement works as well as recruiting. Did I mention that it's free? Its crude looking but it works.

Stuff like this and the free Race for the Galaxy download are probably things of the past with the rise of tablets - if the Ipad were around 5 years ago both these things would be pay apps I'd think.

If I can get the time tonight, I'll definitely try this out. I'm really excited to try this one, but I don't think I'll be able to find opponents IRL for a little while.

The Colossus AI isn't bad if you're just starting out.
