Will, good score on The Queens Gambit. I was able to pick up a new in shrink copy a couple months ago for $70. Actually it was my wife's purchase, she's the one that wanted it.

For the MT I put 10 games up (12 w/ sweeteners) and got 5 trades. I also traded games I would probably never would have played. I won:

Downtown: Hanoi (not Will's)

Clash for a Continent: American Rev.

Sweden Fights On

Samurai

Chariot Lords

Since I'm on a GBoH & Musket & Pike kick I did ok. As far as what will hit the table soon, Clash for a Continent will, SFO and Samurai might. Chariot Lords is something I got because I was looking for a 4p wargame, Downtown because I think I'm going to start collecting Korea and later air combat games and it's the basis for the upcoming air war Suez game.

Make *sure* you have the right playaids Harkonnen. They are quite different and you need them. I talked to GMT 6 months ago when I won downtown and they sent me new correct sheets at no charge.

"Paths of Glory" with the Player Guide variant cards.

"Successors"

"Twilight Struggle"

"Storm Over Stalingrad" if I read that people are liking it, otherwise I'll keep it wrapped to give to my boy when he gets older.

Playtesting MMP's "Kawaguchi's Gamble: Edson's Ridge"

there are too many for me to list here.....

However...I would like to get 2nd, 3rd, 5th or 7th Fleet on the table at some point. Along with War at Eisenbach gap. Possibly some of my Panzer Grenadier games. Maybe Downtown Air War....

I just picked up a copy of River of Death to complete my collection of Berg's Great Battles of the American Civil War. I can't wait to give it a shot, although the outlook is grim that it'll come to the table.

I've just started a Federation Commander campaign with my regular game group - I chose the Romulans, so we'll see how I do. They're pretty difficult to play correctly, but I always enjoy them. One of these days I write an article about FedCom, as I've played it a bunch.

looking through the rules, i can't wait to get this one going. pretty simple, and the addition of the cards looks like a really fine prospect.

I own 2nd and 6th Fleet and besides one game about 4 months ago I never get a chance to play. 2nd Fleet is a lot of fun. I might try to put together a game of it at BGG Con. As far as Eisenbach gap goes I'll throw this out...

If anyone wants to play WaW: Eisenbach on Vassal I'm up for it. I do prefer to use Skype (Skype works good and is something you get for just the cost of the headset).

I haven't played f2f yet but it does look like an exceptional light wargame.

Storm Over Stalingrad does look good. I dig the area-impulse "test of nerves" cat and mouse aspects. I suspect we'll be reading session reports soon.

What I'm wondering about SoS is how the two sides play.

Is the Soviet player just a huge punching bag and his only decision is how to optimize throwing more units into the holes? That might be okay depending on how the game is designed.

On the other hand, are the Soviet defenders so good that the German can't win unless tehy get terribly lucky.

I like the stripped down version of the area-impulse for getting a newb into a game in a short time.

If it takes the same amount of time to Play Breakout:Normandy, then I'd be more inclined to play Breakout:Normandy.
