I have gone through all 5000 games and I consider only around 100 of them as wargames. CDGs are therefore 25% of all valid wargames.

Hence, you remain, a dick.

There are over 50 CDGs. I researched this before we filmed.

And I was the one who suggested the topic be "card driven games that aren't Card Driven Games" so I know better than all of you what the topic was supposed to be about. The guys thought it was too much of a mouthful. I suggested it be "Card Assisted Games" which is what people call them, but then Non-CDGs came up.

I find it a lot less courageous to outlaw games with any cards to avoid all controversy. Are you telling me the 3 volumes of Campaign Commander are driven by cards? How about Medwar Sicily? Blood and Sand? Kingmaker? Hardly.

Go read this article by the man who created the phrase:
www.c3iopscenter.com/documents/My%20Phil...%20Game%20Design.pdf

Note the opening line, "Back in the late 20th century, I had the good fortune to publish We
The People, the first of the Card Driven Games (CDG) genre."

Note he capitalizes "CDG" just as I explained in the video. Note the name of the video was Non-CDGs. It was NOT "games that are not driven by cards." There is a distinct difference.

So no, Up Front is not a CDG. Candyland is not a CDG. Poker, Old Maid, Nuclear War, Combat Commander, and Command & Colors are not CDGs.

CDG means more than games that are driven by cards. There you have it.
