GMT has announced their annual sale, 20% for everyone and 50% off any in-stock title for people that received a P500 this year. They've goosed it a bit, adding one additional half off for P500ers, so you can get two if you received one, three if you received two, etc. I may sell Thunder Alley for what I paid for it and pick up Fading Glory and Combat Commader: Europe for $70 off. At this point, I may need to start calling Thunder Alley one hell of a game and the single best purchase I made this year!

Runs to the 22nd.

Only GMT game I've bought this year was their collector's edition preorder... unusual.

A friend had a few of these and used one to pick up Thunder Alley for me. After shipping it came to what it is at online shops, but I'd rather pay the publisher. I'm excited, I've played it once and I can't stop thinking about it. I joined a league at my game club. Formula D has it's marching orders.

They've been adding that extra for a while now (it was in my 2012 and '13 mailings
at the least).

Broke down and put the 100 clams on AWAW. Can't chance that it won't
make it to the bargain bin.

I KNOW FITL won't, and figured I could use a second COIN game.
See if the system grows on me with more solo play. I think they're
good games, and decent sims, but they don't give me the story the
way I want it. Maybe I can learn though.

Grabbed the expansion to Gringos too. That was the only thing
I was sure I wanted. Damned earlier sale cleaned out most of my
'maybe' choices.

Left me with one unused slot. Just couldn't pull the trigger on
Nightfighter though - umpired play sounds impossible in my life.

Picked up Thunder Alley and Fire in the Lake. It's $35 shipping for both to Australia, which is incredible.

I ordered 1805: Sea of Glory because I've been looking at it for a long time and, while I doubt I'll have a lot of luck getting it played, the post-discount price shipped was cheaper than any other option I've come across. I really dig the idea of a naval game but I don't get into the record keeping that comes with most tactical naval games. The low unit density and the strategic level of 1805 look really interesting.

I also ordered the C3i issue that has a shorter scenario for it.

PSA: The discount applied to the C3i issue as well. I didn't notice that bit of info on the sale email, but it happened.

Blackbeard is super cheap at 50% off of its already sale price of $35.

Anyone know if the living rules salvage the game?
