I was browsing GMT recently (trying to figure out what I have on pre-order in various places) and saw Vijayanagara, with a tagline of "The Deccan Empires of Medieval India, 1290-1398"
The setting is an immediate interest point, because it's not Europe. It's not like I have another game on this period, or even any frame of reference.
It's described as COIN-like, but not exactly.

I think it looks very interesting and making a game with no reference to any European history interest is way too rare. It's pretty much center stage for medieval era civilization in the world, I'm always reminded of that that when I look in this region from my beyond backwater dark ages Europe in Crusader Kings.
