I know most of you don’t swing this way, but if you’re interested there are some good prices.

Ugh, there's a couple of long-running "maybe" games in there at extremely attractive prices. I don't need more toads, but MMP's wack print scheduling really puts the years of MO in FOMO.

Thanks, I think?

I still have my unplayed copy of Warriors of God that I bought years ago. Don't think I need anymore of their games.

I've already got a lot of those game. ANGOLA is a downright steal @ $30.

Speaking of WARRIORS OF GOD, I just started playtesting another game using the same system on the War of the Roses.

Which publisher?

Warriors of God is just a great game. Great combat system in a play where you need to burn your troops or risk losing them to your opponent. Anyone with an unplayed copy on their shelf is DEAD TO ME.

MMP. If you know WoG its almost the same. Instead of rolling for leader death, in battle you can try to get an opposing leader to switch sides. Leaders who die in battle either are captured ( and can be tried for treason for whoever owns London ) or killed. Recruiting works a bit different but simpler.

It's tempting, but it takes 8 hours to play, correct?

For us, the first game was probably close to that. I think we were down to about 6 hours afterwards, so we'd get it done over two weeknight sessions. But it's a variable # of turns(it can end early) so it's more of a range for sure.

For me, the main learning curve was the battle procedure, but once you get that down it speeds up a lot. I'd be curious to hear how long MSample's games take. I could see a very experienced group that just gets down to business getting it down to 4-5 hours.

More importantly to me, it doesn't feel like it's taking that many hours.

Our play times have gotten to the 3-5 hour range. Most games end around Turn 8. Mind you, we’ve all got 20-30+ plays under our belts.

Warriors of Japan for $15! I won't click on the shipping costs to maintain the dopamine levels.

Shipping costs are pretty steep on one game. I ended up caving and ordered Angola and Warriors of Japan, $65 shipped.

Toadery abounds.
