Ahhh, missed that. I'm certainly more interested now.

There is a political component to this game and their last one as well (Greed Inc. which I own and enjoy, although they may have done something in-between I don't pay that close attention). That might turn some people off but I don't mind it, actually, I think I appreciate it.
... and it's not because I'm some anti-corporate left wing hippie type (I might be in your mind - I don't think so - but my politics aren't important for this point), I'd gladly play a game that does this from the opposite political direction and still be interested. I simply like that kind of thing and find it an interesting way to approach boardgame design. Generally you only see that in wargames where they may depict terrorism or revolutions. But I'd play a pro-libertarian game that satirizes socialism if there was good one. That said, I think Canadians are far less passionate about politics and that might be because our politics have very little global effect so we can afford to be less passionate. I remember a South Korean Newspaper identifying our Prime Minister (Jean Chrétien at the time) as an "unidentified man" - that's how un-important the world thinks we are.
I also generally like economic games and empire building and this sounds like it has some of both. Plus it's a topic I haven't seen done very much.

You must have used that World Wild Web thingy to come up with -459.67 F.

That "serious" part is what caught my attention.
I play with a bunch of fast food management guys, so this may be a good fit for them. I'd just like to know if being non-serious makes the game run longer or shorter.
