The wife is gonna take one look at that sexy box, Jeb, and it's gonna be all kinda squeeky squeeky time in the bedroom. Just don't get upset if she starts calling you Beast Master.

Seriously, what wife could be upset with such an awesome game?

My wife's gaming tastes run the gamut from TICKET TO RIDE to TICKET TO RIDE: EUROPE.

Shit. I wish.

Tickets to ride cost me jewelry and trips to Hawaii over on this side of the Rockies.

Descent 2nd ed is now $35 and change on Amazon. That's crazy.

Don't know how long the sale lasts.

I love the look of the ships, I mean, they're outstanding. But I just don't see myself playing it that much, and 100$ to buy something that I won't play, even if it's pretty as all get out, is just kind of Dreadfleety.

Thanks for saving me money, Pete, for real. So far I'm managing to resist this and the CSI one-day sale on Eclipse...

I'd be really impressed if after xmas prices were lower, there have been some very good deals. But if I'm wrong my wallet will eat my hat.

My money-saving was more because I won't buy them at all because I won't play them, rather than because I'll get some phantom great post-xmas deals.

Target has pretty much all of their hobby games on sale...the big one is X-Wing, $27.99. That beats online plus shipping. Star Trek Catan (which would make a lovely Michael Barnes gift, anyone) is $39.99.

I'm going to pretend I didn't see the sale on those X-Wing singles at Amazon. I REALLY DON'T NEED MORE.

The TIE Advanced expansion is now only $6.39 on Amazon. Regular TIE fighters are $6.79.

At this rate they'll be free in a few days.

Edit:

Mansions of Madness is now $37 on Amazon. FFG stuff is going cheap.

Based on previous years, all the deals fall before Christmas or just after, and then dry up completely.

Like last year, I got Twilight Imperium plus BOTH expansions, shipped, for like $90, I think? Insane. Never saw anything like those prices again after Christmas was done.

It is making it hard to skip these deals though. So tapped out after buying presents for everyone, but man are there some good deals out there.
