I once spent a great deal of time studying the Prisoner's Dilemma and Game Theory. I thought that this was a refreshing article on these topics as they relate to the board game HMS Dolores (2016).

The problem with games that rely on that thought experiment is that people know that thought experiment going in and, knowing that, the rational answer is to always choose to say nothing and end in a tie. Well, for rational people.

As has been brought up here before, some people believe a tie > a loss and would rather force a tie. This is rational. This game, then, played by rational people, almost always end in a tie,
