Linz and I have been playing it, it’s pretty fun. I do recommend a small house rule, if Snape shows up in the first round, shuffle him back in and draw a new card. Kind of makes the early game unfun.

My wife did get me Reiner Knizias book "New Tactical Games With Dice and Cards", which I'm pretty jazzed about. His book of dice game has lots of fun stuff in it, and I'm sure his book of card games will have lots of fun stuff too!

I got a copy of Mario World Monopoly (apparently the 13 year ban on Monopoly in the house is off) , a fistful of extras for Western Legends, a copy of Jaws, and a 3D printed BLACK Dice Tower.

As suspected, Star Wars Outer Rim was under the tree for me. There was also a game called suspend (dex game about balancing little wire hangers) and Animal Upon Animal for the kids.

We got that WEREWOLF game with the app; it's a fun little thing for our family of six and we can get some folks to play it when they come over I guess. I don't really like games like this for some reason. I am good at them and most of my family is atrocious at them, this is probably a factor in my opinion.

We also got IN A PICKLE, a little thing where you try to play cards of bigger things and argue about it. Like, does a chair fit in a shopping cart? Haha, maybe? Now I hate you.

The kids got me that new Gale Force 9 DUNE, which looks so damn sweet. I want to play this like crazy, but I need these folks to commit. Ain't no half-asking in DUNE!

OUTER RIM is still in the wrapping paper, got a few nights of Xanukah to go here. Might be something playable in the Secret Satan box, but I'm too chicken to open that one in front of the kids.

My wife got me Gloomhaven, which was an answer I gave to her, "What do you want for Christmas," question. She also got me the Broken Token kit to go with it, which I did not ask for. She said, "I thought it might be like Terraforming Mars, and we like the kit for that." She also got me some of those Citadel painting handles, which I also did not ask for.

My daughter bought me Wrath of Ashardalon. We had played Legend of Drizzt a few times, and she thought it might be fun. She's not wrong. At the very least it's more stuff to paint.

I bet he got all new stuff with the Turmoil expansion. I did. I wanted to replace my old sets because we messed up all of our old cards by using a card shuffler on them. My wife doesn't believe in card sleeves, and sleeving the cards wasn't a hill I wanted to die on. Turmoil + all expansions wasn't a horrible deal.

I got my kids the Simpsons Codenames because they are Simpsons maniacs. Some relatives got them some garbage games like Bunco, which I told them they are not old enough to play.

I received 0 board games, as desired. Instead of games I got a backpack full of knives and tomahawks and a vintage Disneyland It’s a Small World poster from when the ride opened. Also some spaceship tiki mugs and an exercise book written by LL Cool J.

I would play the heck out of Simpsons Codenames. Simpsons quotes are basically my second language.

When you have a lot of family living in another country, you end up with a lot of money to buy your own gifts. So today we went to the mall and went on something of a spree. I bought myself Clank! and the Gold and Silk expansion. I think it'll be well-received by both our family and friends.

My kids had some money too, so we ended up getting a bunch of Switch games: DK Tropical Freeze, Breath of the Wild, and Pokemon Shield.

My wife gave me Links Awakening and Mario Usually, speaking of switch games. Pretty jazzed about both of those.

I got the Vulcan expansion for Star Trek Ascendancy, Hunt For the Ring (which I played by asked for for not giving it proper time) and the big surprise hit of the year for me, Getaway Driver. Seriously, this little 2 player game is huge fun, look it up.
