I just googled it and couldn't find anything. So for now, consider it an unsubstantiated rumor. But my contact says that even though Plaid Hat is based in Texas, one of their main guys has been visiting Asmodee's Minnesota office nearly every other week for months now, just to work out the terms of their escape.

You really just gotta do the CP, sell your stake to this venture capital company, and then forget that a company named FFG even existed.
fwiw, that's not really an insult. It's the only way to live in this current corporate raiding/stripping environment if you're someone who successfully built something from the ground up and you want to cash out.
