I just bought the non-deluxe version of Oceans at my FLGS based on comments here, so I better not have just wasted $50 in credit since it was a Kickstarter!
Also, Cthulhu Wars is my favorite and most played game ever, but I will admit that I don't use the non-faction expansions, so there is waste there.
If this Alice in wonderland game was someone's life passion and they were doing it just to see their game in the wild, I have no issue. If it's just another game to make money on KS, then I think the grumbling and the the bitching is fair purely because it does clog the pipes so to speak causing more crap to negotiate as we search for the good stuff. It also increases the risk that poor bastards that go to game nights will be subject to garbage because someone spent a ton of money , causing that person to turn from the hobby.
Petersen Games is like this where Cthulhu Wars was amazing and everything else is derivative, over produced trying to make money garbage.

As an example, Oceans is derivative of Evolution and put on Kickstarter to make a ton of money. Now, I am going to bring it to game day and it might cause my friends to exit the hobby or at least throw some moldy lunch meat my way.
