Hookers and Crack.

Do you think that right about now Ex-Governor Spitzer is reminiscing about the good old days when a politician could smoke crack, get arrested and still get reelected.

Honest politicians never go far.

But they can sleep at night..... At least after they kick the hookers out.

DC has lower standards than New York. Spitzer would have been better off becoming mayor of New Orleans, Detroit or maybe East Saint Louis. Otherwise, he should have saved the hooker action for a vacation in Nevada. I feel sorry for the wife, she looked like she was being led off to her execution after that press conference.

He'd be a far better New Orleans mayor than that do-nothing, histrionic douchebag we currently have now.

Maybe she did. If so, then I really don't hold Spitzer responsible - if she did all that you'd be crazy NOT to get a hooker!

Personally, it's less the hooker part for me than it is that while Spitzer was seeing prostitutes he was convicting people for seeing prostitutes. That's the reason I think he is getting what he deserves.

I just don't understand why people are surprised when people in positions of political power do things that are immoral, licentious, or illegal...I'm more surprised that people with power and money are dumb enough to get caught.

The problem is that he won't get what he deserves. Sure he lost his job and might get a slap on the wrist, but that's all. He will still get to go to his country club and parties like nothing had happened. You or I get caught, the shit hits the fan. Hell, he will still make more money next year then all of F:at combined ( not counting Barnes of course, because he's a high paid famous reviewer.) Do you remember the Francis Wolcott, George Hearst's goelogist in the season two final of "Deadwood?" If Spitzer wants to redeem himself that way, I'll forgive him. The ones who crusade the hardest are the ones you need to watch the most.

Spitzer is probably worse off because he was the "holier than thou" guy who went after white collar crime on Wall Street. When he was going after the big mutual fund companies, you knew he was making enemies. Looks like he was his own worst enemy, however.

I just want to know who clients #1-8 were.
