Wine Tasting at KublaCon

I just saw a post where Doug "The Velvet Smog" Garrett had just posted a Podcast from Kublacon. I call him the "Velvet Smog" due to his smooth voice but poor taste in boardgames.

Anyway, at Kublacon they did a little wine tasting and boardgaming! Wine tasting seems to be a rather snooty activity at a gaming convention but no doubt Doug , Aldie and Derk savored the delicate balance of a bottle of Ripple while playing Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries.

Someone saw Derk walking around the convention with a glass of red wine on ice and a red wine mustache saying it was the best Kublacon EVER!

If only they didn't ruin the atmosphere by placing the wine glasses on TV trays!

But Derk is right: Hacienda and Agricola are best enjoyed mimicing a patrón (cigars though are not the vogue anymore, because the smoke only depreciates the monetary value of the game).

Oh dear, another famine, ho ho!
