... and I made a geeklist at BGG asking for advice on what I should get, because there's nothing out right now that I'm dying to get. (I would have used it to get War of the Ring but I just bought that last week.) If you have an opinion on any of the games, please leave a comment in the list.

Or, if you'd rather post comments here at F:AT, here are the games I'm considering that the store currently carries ( http://www.starlitcitadel.com/games/ ):
- Railroad Tycoon
- Twilight Struggle
- War of the Ring - Battles of the Third Age
- Hannibal: Rome Vs. Carthage
- Commands & Colors: Ancients
- A House Divided
- Mystery of the Abbey (the gf has wanted this for over a year)
- A Game of Thrones: A Storm of Swords Expansion
- Tigris & Euphrates
Thanks for any help.

Anyway: Your other picks looks like winners. I saw they also had Prophecy, which gets a lot of props here.
I'm thinking WOTR: Bot3A for you.
She shall continue to want that. I'm guessing her ability to purchase games is impaired somehow? I used to buy games hoping my wife would play them. Now I just buy AH:Kingsport and other stuff I love. Balloon Cup--what was I thinking?- Mystery of the Abbey (the gf has wanted this for over a year)

My gf actually has pretty similar tastes as me (she loves Fury of Dracula and Arkham Horror, and is perfectly happy sitting down to an 8-hour game of TI3) but she has no idea how to pick out a game in the store. She usually just grabs boxes almost randomly and asks me if I know anything about it. Even if I have done the research, she'll nix the idea if she doesn't like the look of the box (recently with Friedrich). She is very much the type of person who judges a book by its cover.
She can also be stubborn when it comes to trying a game with a theme she doesn't like. I'm considering a lot of wargames but I doubt she'd give any of them much of a chance.
But Mystery of the Abbey looks ok to me. I still kinda like Clue. She likes Clue. I'm sure we'd have a decent time with it if she convinces me to get it. It's just that I know I'll be able to get more than "a decent time, I guess" out of several of these other options.

Do yu have other people who will play Mystery of the Abbey with you? Just like Clue, you can't play Mystery of the Abbey with only two players. It isn't very good with only three either.
Would your gf give Railroad Tycoon a chance? I know that you are not specifically looking for a game to play with your gf, but if she's the one you play with most, then a game that she likes will get played more often. The Rails of Europe map expansion will fit on your table and plays 2 player.
