Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Dice Tower Episode 250: Scott Alden a no show!
This is why you see Superfly applauding his own twisted logic.

Mark me down for "couldn't care less either way."ldsdbomber wrote: I actually still can't work out if you guys all love each other and are just continuing some kind of prolonged in joke or if you actually do detest each other.
Maybe one day one of these guys in the big F:AT Alpha Dog Sweepstakes will actually mention a game. You know, just for a change of pace ...

Can someone tell me the part of this episode that Weeks belittles Tom? I'd rather not have to listen to the entire thing. It'd be different if it was a video. Seriously, the only gaming podcast I can bear to sit and listen to in its entirety is the Fatcast.
I don't belittle I tell the truth! Big Difference and one Superfly doesn't understand due to recently vomiting oatmeal and clouding his cerebral cortex.
Listening to Tom's 250th is required listening for all gamers. Especially when I am on the show! Ryan B once suggested that Tom and I should be co hosts on a podcast but Tom is such a control freak it would never work.

It's really sad. Yeah, I'm vulgar and loud and will tell you to fuck off or suck a dick. But people also recognize that past that, I contribute to the gaming world with substantial reviews and well formed opinion, not just a sad little man who isn't talented enough to do anything other that troll and ride on others' coattails.

In general I do not care for trying to "convert" people into gaming, but if he wants me to play Small World with him and thus potentially become more interested in board games in general I am not going to turn him down.

Well, of course, you are always going to find a couple of people who "convert". But is not indicative of any sort of a trend.
For Steve: I DO think you and Tom would be good as co-hosts, as the best shows have some good back and forth banter. And I think Tom can hold his own against your kind of lunacy. Tom's proven he's a big boy and can handle it. But kiddo, you have to play nicer in the sandbox.
Pete's right, you do intentionally seek controversy and someone else noted here that you spend too much time trying to ride the coattails of whoever is supposedly making boardgame "news" at that moment. Which begs the question: Why do that when you could be breaking ground with your own original work?
Typical Steve Weeks Opinion Cycle:
1. a) Slam someone noteworthy in the game world OR b) completely try to ingratiate yourself to them
2. Do the exact opposite of whatever you did in (1.)
3. Completely flip flop and go back to your original position.
4. Rinse and repeat.
I had a problem with it a long time ago. I don't any longer because I have finally determined that you are nuts. But at least you are funny. So my vote is: "entertaining".

It's because he can't. He has nothing to offer the world, and all he wants is attention. "Hey look at me" is about all he has.
I got that email from an old-school TSR Hobbies D&D author about how he loved my article and was making it required reading. I was pretty proud of that. It's one thing to have a bunch of random internet nerds say "cool article" but another to have someone who once did great things to say so. So I was pretty proud. But Weeks immediately started mocking.
Why?
Because he's a sad, pathetic little charlatan of a man. The kind of guy who puts trophy wife pics up on Facebook with his wife and daughter in skimpy bikinis. The most onerous kind of person who can possibly exist. Hell, pop that in with the fake-ass Southern Gentleman and Christian Conservative pile of lies that every action he takes immediately proves to be fallacious, and you have the truth: A sad, lonely guy who is universally viewed as a sometimes-funny clown who can do absolutely nothing but cause fake controversy and attempt to make himself feel more important by telling others how unimportant they are.
Like I said, my view on the man falls in between indifference and pity. At least Barnes got me pissed enough to want to fly to Atlanta and cockpunch him at one point in our now-defunct dramafest, but Weeks...I wouldn't cross the street to piss in his mouth if his guts were on fire. He's simply not worth even acknowledging.
I didn't know who he was 6 months ago. I had to ask. Shellie and Mike told me he was the epitomy of the genus Internetia Trollicus and by God, they were dead on. He'll act as a friend just before stabbing you in between the ribs. Well, I guess maybe he is a little bit Christian. Judas Iscariot, to be exact.
