AH Blackbeard.
For A/T, I generally like the FFG approach.

Monsters Menace America has pretty badass boxart. In fact I love the art in this game as a whole. It perfectly captures that 1950s sci-fi look.
Someone else already posted the box art for HeroQuest, so I'll go with my other childhood favorite...
Cosmic Encounter is pretty much the best game ever. The only thing FFG should have done with their reprint was use this art:
I don't own this game, and I've never played it. But the artwork for the 1st edition of Quests For the Dragonlords is super fucking awesome!

You also can't go wrong with Paul Alexander's art for Thunder Road, and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to insert an image.

Yep, Gibbons it was. That whole series of 2000AD licenced boardgames is iconic in its own right: it was a landmark in the use of IP art in boardgame graphic design; and those covers? They're garish for sure but they completely capture the essential energy of 2000AD in those early days.Michael Barnes wrote: I believe Bolland did the art on the Rogue Trooper game as well...no, wait. I'm wrong. It's Dave Gibbons.
And it really is a toss-up between Panzerblitz and Squad Leader as the iconic cover: publication dates gives it to Panzerblitz- and those Jadgpanthers on the horizon are hard to beat, but Squad Leader was my game, which tips it in the scales for me.

Love the sweeping gothic feel of this. Notice the Blessed Light from above shining down on the carnage below. Good stuff.

This ever since saw it in the Sears Wish Book (Christmas catalogue) when I was 10 or 11. This screams FUN!!!

I fucking hate this game, but I dig the clean line style illustration. Could be a still from the Fleischer Brother's Superman serials.

Yes, it was my first hobby game but even now I get thrill from looking at the foil embossed words anchored by the goregeously illustrated dragon wings of Chris Achilleos.

Supremacy 2nd edition: I pulled the french version because the res is much higher, but you get the idea, I love the campy 1980s neon
Formula De: Again, purely for camp value, I can't help but love anything that looks like it was once the box art to an Atari 2600 game
