Probably a good business decision, in the sense of efficiently separately people from their money. Terrible in every other way.

While I'm not sure if NFTs are "the next big thing" like when I first heard about bitcoin selling for around a penny each and made the life altering decision to NOT buy $10 worth on a whim, I just can't see CMON having a NFT worth squat.

“The overall potential of NFTs adds a brand-new dimension to the hobby, game and collectible markets, one that we’re extremely excited to explore with Monsoon Digital,”

Yeah when I think of brand-new dimensions for this hobby, my mind immediately jumps to NFTs. Can't wait to see 8bit JPEGs of meeples offered as stretchgoals for The Next Hot Kickstarter Game campaign.

Video gaming is increasingly dominated by gambling so I sadly expected board gaming to fall into the same pit.

NFTs strike me as a modern Dutch tulip phenomenon.

At least the tulips captured carbon from the atmosphere, instead of pumping massive amounts into it.

Fuck this garbage company. LMAO at any sucker 5 years from now holding an NFT for some Zombicide character art.

I’m not playing or buying anything they do ever again- if it’s a reprint like Modern Art, I’ll just play an earlier edition.
