Moon Knight - Trade Comic

I wanted to pass on a comic recommendation to y'all. The other day I picked up the trade of Moon Knight from Marvel...I know what you're thinking...Moon Knight...I've heard of that guy, what does he do? Remove pieces of skin in the shape of a crescent moon on bad guy's forehead, that's what he does.

Moon Knight for me has always been a character that has just been there. Never really knew much about him but recognized him when he pops his head in books like Infinity War. Well the other day I was looking for a new trade to pick up...Something that I knew nothing about. So I grabbed the Moon Knight book not expecting much because lets face it...if you don't know much about him his look and name makes him seem a little queer.

Charlie Hudson he re-imaged Moon Knight to create what has quickly become one of my favorite characters in the Marvel world. I've never been one for the men in tights sacrificing everything for the cause of good...I just never felt a connection to those overly good guys. Hudson has managed to create a character who is battling many internal demons (drug addition; depression; multiple personalities) and has also managed to keep a light mood by adding in lots of dark humor at which I found myself laughing quite a bit.

The first two trades in the series I cannot help but recommend. If you're still weary at Moon Knight then at the very least grab the book off the shelf at Borders and read a few pages. I think many will be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't read his Moon Knight stuff, but Charlie Huston is a great modern-noir crime novelist. Check out 'Caught Stealing' and 'Six Bad Things' on Amazon.

But those don't have pretty pictures!

Good deal...I've been looking for some new novels to read and Caught Stealing sounds pretty intense.
