Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Rebel transport on the table
Both players create their forces for all three steps of the scenario before beginning the first one. Each scenario has the Empire fielding different sized forces and has some gimmick, space mines, reinforcements, ion/ turbo laser shots (I liked these best) trying to destroy the GR-75. The Empire unique pilots used in one scenario may not be fielded again, while the opposite is basically true for the rebels. The rebels make a list of pilots and resources (upgrade cards and modification) that they can choose from beforee each match, depending on pilot death and other outcomes, this list can be modified. The rebels get free upgrades when they win, one critical damages stays on the transport, if the Empire manages to damage it...
The transport itself is a beast. My opponent's good use of the reinforce action accompanied with the ability to regenerate shields kept me from doing much damage. Taking this ship out of action will require some serious focus fire/ cluster missiles. The problem is if all your ships at blasting at the space-whale then the escort ships can pick you off at leisure.
Next time we play there will be more secondary weapons and more then one proximity bomb. Also focusing on killing a named pilot or two in the early scenario might be a better stratergy then even trying to damage the transport.
Anyone else had a chance to play with this yet?

The large ship miniatures are not in perfect scale like the smaller ships.

What size playfield did you use? standard 3x3 or bigger?
Mine is stuck waiting for the Tantive IV, preordered them together...not in a big rush anyway. But sounds pretty great.

I'll take photos next time we play, I do not own the monster, I mostly play empire and since my primary opponet owns it, I don't expect to.
Yes the scale is different, but it still looks pretty impressivly huge- it plowed down a few of my TIES.

If the capital ships are to scale with each other, then a star destroyer would be hella big compared to the rebel transports, with a price tag to match. I do have the Lego star destroyer (the two foot long one), I think it might be to scale actually.
Someone on BGG figured it out. Using the scale of the Rebel Transport and the Tantive IV, a Star Destroyer would actually be somewhere around 17 feet.

IIRC, they're something like 1.6 km long (1 mile?). Tiny things compared to the ships of the line in the 40K universe.
