Could be cool but Mantic is just so blah. Their Kickstarter results suck (check out all of the issues with Dungeon Saga) and all of their games I've played tend to be very bland. For being miniatures/AT games their stuff tends to lack character and identity.

I've played 3 Mantic games now, Kings of War, Dwarf King's Hold and, most disappointing of all, Mars Attacks. Charlie's right, they're pretty bland across the board.

The first comment I saw was "yawning at the speed of light" - great comment. I don't know this developer and I am not a walking dead fan really but I just wanted to warn you that I have been dreaming of a Plastic Man cartoon (that could be fucking brilliant) or video game or boardgame or ... something. So this thread was a huge disappointment for me. No Plastic Man ;(
You make me sad.

True story, these miniatures actually act better than the people on the show!

Mantic saved mass fantasy battles from the clutches of Lames Jerkchop. Big props to them.
(and Kings of War is great)

I thought the KS for this turned out ok. I was not sold at all at first given what was being offered for the price, but they added quite a bit before the end. I would have liked to see more actual produced minis instead of renders, but I like the IP enough it held my interest. I have played around with the "playtest" rules a bit, its been fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but right along the lines of something I have been looking for. If they add much of what they have discussed on the feedback boards it could turn out to be a pretty interesting game.
The way they ran the KS seemed really odd to me (especially at first), but as time passed it made some sense and they seem to have achieved what they were looking to get out of the campaign. I am looking forward to the final product, hoping it turns out as expected. IF not, shouldn't be a huge loss as I am sure it wouldn't be too challenging to get the money back out of it.
Anyone else give the trial rules a shot?
