So looks like I will be putting this army on hold as the league entered the playoffs (only Tzeentch and Slaanesh Daemon Princes remaining). My 0-6 record was apparently not good enough to qualify.
I wanted to have a more competitive army for the next go around so I am going to be building a War Convocation (Skitarii, Cult Mechanicus, and Imperial Knights) for the following league which I assume will start in March.
The FLGS is having Kill Team tournament the last weekend in January with top four places getting store credit. My Daemons are not really legal or very good for Kill Team as only the Plaguebearers are allowed and I do not have enough of them to get to 200 points. I am planning on running Skitarii with a unit of Vanguards (Alpha with Carbine, 6 with Carbines, 2 with Arc Rifles, and 1 with Arquebus) and one Sydonian Dragoon with Taser Lance. The Vanguards' Carbines pack a large amount of shots/bonus wounds to make up for their relatively low strength and poor armor piercing. The Arc Rifles are there for heavy firepower and are fairly inexpensive. I will give the Arquebus whatever the Ignores Cover ability is called and then it can reliably kill any infantry on the board as it will get to ignore Cover and Armor saves. The Dragoon is there to take out any vehicles or high Toughness infantry.
Hopefully, I can get them all painted in time. Everything is still on sprues or still in the mail so it will be really, really close.
