Looks awesome- I'm thinking this is going to be less expensive than you might expect...I'm thinking $85. They are clearly aiming for new players here.

Word is November release:

I heard talk of a 'surprise' Nov 25th GW release. It may be BB, but it seems with this much data out...it wouldn't be much of a surprise.

I'm hoping the Nov 25th surprise release is WHQ:Flesh Eater Courts (Undead).

BB could still hit the market in Nov.

I now have no regrets for skipping Dreadball. This looks great.

Black Library is rereleasing the Blood Bowl novels as a special box set the week of November 28th. So around that week is highly probable.

I still have my cardstock standees for the 1st edition. I hope there is a local BB tourney I can use them in rather than the plastic just to tweak nerd noses.

Looks good, but I probably don't need a new copy, especially if the new miniatures are slightly bigger than the old teams. I'm curious to see a list of the changes from the LRB.

Also, when the hell is that new edition of Necromunda going to get released?

Dumb boardgamer question:
Is this a game that you keep two fleshed out teams ready for occasional play -OR- do you concentrate on only one team and find other Blood Bowl players?

Pretty sure I know the answer and am in denial. I want BB but I'm not sure I have what it needs.

The real game is seeing your team level up and forging connections with your players and their exploits on the field. So it's pretty much concentrating on one team. BUT if you can get a like group of minded individuals together and play in a league with multiple teams... you'll likely have a bevy of teams in your stable to choose from after a few seasons.

you can do both...and more.

I have a buddy and we'll sometimes just build rosters....add more cash for extra skills for players...and play a one off.

you could take your team and join, or better start, a local league.

it can be both a one off 2player boardgame like chess or a lifestyle game.

Bollocks. Looks like I left it too late to offload my existing copy.

Although it seems the rules are the same, so there's no immediate need to "upgrade" except for the pretty bits. Still tempted though.
